North Barrule Ridge ‘Hop tu naa’ Night Hikes
Summit the Island’s second highest peak in the dark! Put your trust in your guide to navigate you along the famous ridge from the Black Hut to summit of North Barrule, returning by re-tracing our steps.
The dates have been chosen with the maximum light from the full moon and will give a different ‘spooky’ perspective with the views by moonlight.
Starting from the Black Hut we climb slowly to the summit of Clagh Ouyr making our way on foot through the darkness to the summit of North Barrule and return to the Black Hut, a total distance of approx. 6 miles (9.5km) and taking 3 hrs.
The route will be over open moorland and you will require sturdy walking boots or shoes, headtorch(any touch will suffice but not a mobile phone torch), warm clothing to suit the weather, a snack and warm drink for the summit.
Each walk will be limited to 12 people.
