Walking.im are pleased to offer the opportunity to complete the 95 mile Raad Ny Foillan.
Join us this summer every Saturday throughout August and September as we complete this challenging route.
The numbers are limited, so don’t delay, and book your place to join us and complete the islands premier long distance walking route with friendly company and safe in the knowledge that the guide, Ken Harding, holds professional qualifications with the Mountain Training Association.
The walks will start at 9am every Saturday from the 1st August and the route has been split into 8 manageable but rewarding sections. Each section should take approximately 6 hours with refreshment breaks, views and lunch stops, with a couple of sections a little longer and others a little less.
1st August Sea Terminal to Ronaldsway (Ballasalla) Approx 12 miles / 6 hrs
9th August Ronaldsway to Port St Mary Approx 13 miles / 6 hrs
15th August Port St Mary to Port Erin Approx 9 miles / 5 hrs
22nd August Port Erin to Peel Approx 12 miles / 6 hrs
5th September Peel to Jurby * Approx 13 miles / 6 hrs
12th September Jurby to Ramsey * Approx 14 miles / 6 hrs
19th September Ramsey to Laxey Approx 12 miles / 6 hrs
26th September Laxey to Douglas Approx 10 miles / 5 hrs

The walking terrain varies from moorland to beach sections. Walking.im will accommodate and support all participants but would ask that you are confident of your fitness and comfortable to walk between 9-14 miles each day. The stages are planned to offer you the most enjoyment from the experience, some sections have occasional steep slopes and clifftops. The achievement of walking the whole of the Raad Ny Foillan will be a fantastic story to tell.
The advantages of group walking and using a professional guide allows you the opportunity to achieve and enjoy walking distances that you never thought you could accomplish. The guide will advise and support you every step of the way, building your confidence, fitness, and ability along with other fellow members of the group as together you explore this fantastic route.
Please ensure you wear comfortable and supportive walking shoes/boots with good grip and carry suitable clothing with waterproofs in case the weather closes in. Bring your walking poles if you use them, camera, binoculars, lunch, and snacks to ensure you stay nourished and plenty of fluid/water. Please also bring any medication which you may require and inform us of any medical issues which we should be aware of.
The cost is £10 a stage – A total of £80 to be guided around the whole Raad Ny Foillan. This is a special summer Staycation offer from Walking.im and places will be limited.
