About Ken & Walking.im
I have an interest and fascination in mountains, geology and the natural world which lead me on to study the natural sciences after a thirty year career in Green keeping and Golf Course management.
Working outdoors and enjoying recreational walking and trekking throughout the world I decided to share my passion and began leading group walks on the Isle of Man taking people to new places and helping them to share the environment which inspired me to set up Walking.im.
As a qualified walk leader let me use my experience and enthusiasm to guide you through spectacular hills, moorland, glens, and along coastal footpaths to view the diverse scenery and countryside on the Isle of Man.
Walking.im is client-centric putting your needs, safety, and pleasure first and allowing the client to drive the experience so that you get the best return. Flexibility is our asset; whether it’s a leisurely stroll to a point of interest, a plotted route in the remote upland environment to be far from the busy world or a family holiday walk with the kids and canine spotting bugs and wildlife…we will tailor a walking holiday to your demographic, ability, time scale and interests.
Working in the leisure industry both in the UK and on the Isle of Man I have seen how important it is for those who live on and work the land to be in harmony with it. I believe that we must have respect for our countryside and am mindful of this ethic at Walking.im.
